With a strong background in painting, drywall, and hands-on craftsmanship, Steve Oertwig found his true calling in home inspections after years in the printing industry left him searching for something more fulfilling. Encouraged by a friend who recognized his technical knowledge and people skills, Steve made the leap into the home inspection field. With over 3500 inspections under his belt and his keen eye for detail you’ll be in the best of hands when it comes to a home inspection, with a decade of experience Steve has created a smooth process to complete your inspection and ensure you are making a good investment in your real estate journey.
Even in a state without licensing requirements, Steve went above and beyond to establish his expertise, passing the National Home Inspector Examination and earning the Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) designation through InterNACHI (NACHI22110109). He continues to stay ahead in the industry by completing ongoing education to refine his skills and stay current with evolving building standards.

With nearly a decade of experience and over 3,500 home inspections completed, Steve approaches every inspection with the same meticulous process—ensuring no detail is overlooked. He treats each home as if he were buying it for his own family, delivering comprehensive reports that help clients fully understand their investment. Beyond his professional expertise, Steve is a dedicated family man who loves spending time with his wife and two children. A true “gym rat,” he starts his mornings at 4:30 AM to train, embracing discipline in both fitness and his career. Whether he’s outdoors, diving into books and podcasts, or meeting new people, Steve thrives on building relationships and helping others—both in the home inspection industry and in his community.
